What I can help you with

Preconception
An optimal diet and a healthy lifestyle can significantly enhance your fertility and optimise your preconception period. It takes around 3-4 months for any changes you make to affect egg and sperm health. For many of us, once the decision has been made to start a family, we want it straight away. The thought of waiting three whole cycles once you’ve made that huge decision just seems so long. But the health of your future children starts with the health of you both as parents.
Pre-conceptual planning is so important and optimising your health is the best gift you could give your them.

Unexplained infertility
So you’ve had the usual investigations done and no conclusions have been drawn as to why you can't conceive. You may even be on the waiting list for fertility treatments such as IVF. On many occasions, nutritional therapy and looking deeper into the root cause of infertility can often lead to a natural pregnancy. I don't just look at reproductive hormones but also identify imbalances with thyroid and adrenal health, as well as the vaginal microbiome all of which are essential for optimal pregnancy outcomes.
I have access to a large range of the most up-to-date functional testing to identify imbalances in these areas. All of these bodily systems require specific nutrients for optimal function, so addressing any deficiencies or insufficiencies in the diet is a major piece of the puzzle.

The 4 Trimesters
Being pregnant can be a wonderful and exciting time, but it can also bring with it lots of questions. What should I be eating? Which supplements are safe? How much can I exercise? Which nutrients do I need? Can I reduce the chance of my baby having eczema or asthma? All I want is bread, what do I do?! I’m here to answer all these questions and guide you through a healthy pregnancy.
Support shouldn’t stop once you give birth. What to eat to sustain you in the first few weeks and months is essential for not just helping you recover but also keeping your energy levels up through the broken nights and feeding. The hormone shift post-birth is also one of the largest you will ever experience and that can be extremely challenging mentally and physically. Helping you rebalance those hormones can help reduce the risk or severity of postpartum depression.

Men
In most cases, it takes two to tango and a lot of the time all the focus is put on improving the women’s fertility and men don’t get a look in. Alongside a full sperm analysis; optimising adrenal and thyroid health, as well as addressing nutrient deficiencies are all essential for sperm health. This is a major part of optimising pregnancy outcomes.
